FLO’s 3rd Annual Winter Coat Drive and Wellness Fair at the Under Armour House Saturday, November 10, 2018 was extraordinary, totally magical!!!! We reached out to over 1600 people.
Our event was very impactful Concious Heads Bootcamp Barbering School provided 65 free hair cuts to community members, University of Maryland School of Dentistry offered free dental service to 61 attendees, United Way of Central Maryland provided 41 community members with ID assistances, Maryland Public Defender offered over 40 community members expungement and London Disability was able to get 19 attendees to sign up for social security disability assistance and 1 person for medicaid.
So many thank yous to go around but it was truly God’s glory in the work. Special thank you to the Mayor of Baltimore, Catherine Pugh for presenting FLO with the Certificate of Recognition for our 3rd Annual Winter Coat Drive and Wellness Fair, Huge thanks to the Under Armour House and Living Classrooms for allowing FLO host this great event for the 2nd year in a row at their venue.

FLO’s Baltimore Homeless Festival at Excel Academy at Francis M. Wood High School on August 11, 2018 was awe inspiring and very impactful. We served over 1100 people.
A total of 103 people received free hair cuts both on the Baltimore Mobile Barber Lounge & Avara’s Academy Of Hair Design inside the school. University of Maryland School of Dentistry serviced 80 community members. Maryland Public Defender serviced 37 clients for expungement, Baltimore City Health Department serviced 93 clients for HIV screening.
Kick Dreams United, an organization that donates new shoes to individuals experiencing hardship gave out over 300 pairs of shoes. Shay Sharpe Sharpe Pink Wishes distributed 200 hygiene kits & underwear to the first 200 women that approached their table. In addition, over 1000 backpacks & school supplies was distributed out to Baltimore City Public School students that attended our event.
We received media coverage from WMAR-2 News Baltimore and WBAL-TV 11 Baltimore.

Join FLO from May 25 – July 25, in collecting school supplies for students at Fort Worthington Elementary School & Collington Square Elementary School in East Baltimore and James McHenry Elementary school & Mary E. Rodman Elementary School in West Baltimore for the 2018 – 2019 school year.
Our goal is to bring ambition and academic success to these students for the 2018 – 2019 school year. FLO wishes that their school year will be filled with joy, enthusiasm, focus and encouragement.
All donations will be distributed to students at FLO’s Baltimore Homeless Festival on August 11, 2018 at Excel Academy at Francis M. Wood High School.
FLO’s 2nd Annual Pre-Mother’s Day Brunch on May 5 at Mt.Vernon Place United Methodist Church was filled with so much happiness, emotions, laughter, celebration, encouragement, prayers, inspiration, hope, and gratitude.
So many thank yous to go around but it was truly God’s blessings to make the mothers and mother figures experiencing hardship in our community feel recognized, appreciated and loved. Special thank you to Pastor Laura of Mt. Vernon Place United Methodist Church for allowing FLO, to host this great event at her church.
