2nd Annual Back to School Rally

FLO is excited to be partnering with Councilman Leon Pinkett for our 2nd Annual Back to School Rally. From June 7 – August 5,  join us, in collecting school supplies for Baltimore City Public School students for the 2019 – 2020 school year. 

Our goal is to bring ambition and academic success to these students for the school year. We wishes that their school year will be filled with joy, enthusiasm, focus and encouragement.

Your donations can be dropped off in the locations listed on the flyer. You can also call us at 410-834-5311 or email us at info@flogiving.org, and arrangements will be made to collect your donations.

All donations will be distributed to students at our 2nd Annual Baltimore Homeless Festival on August 17, 2019 at The Former Williams Pinderhughes Elementary School.

We’re excited about our 2nd Annual Baltimore Homeless Festival / Back to School Drive, happening on Saturday, August 17, 2019! FLO will be partnering with Councilman Leon Pinkett.

Pre-mother’s Day Brunch

Mother’s day is around the corner.  Join FLO from March 29 – April 18, in collecting supplies for less fortunate mothers. 
Help make a difference in the lives of mothers in need in our community. Join us to inspire and give them hope to overcome whatever circumstances they are in, so they may feel appreciated and recognized.

All donations will be distributed at our Pre-Mother’s Day Brunch event on May 4 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church.

4th-Annual-FLO-Day-of-Helping

We’re excited about FLO Day 2019, happening on April 6, 2019! FLO volunteers & service providers will have a festival fully dedicated to serving the underserved in our community.
We need your help! Beginning February 1 thru March 27, we will be collecting clothes and supplies. Drop off locations are on our flier. If you can not make it to any of our drop off locations, simply call us or email us and arrangement will be made to collect your donations.

FLO’s Third Annual Winter Coat Drive / Wellness Fair

FLO’s 3rd Annual Winter Coat Drive and Wellness Fair at the Under Armour House Saturday, November 10, 2018 was extraordinary, totally magical!!!! We reached out to over 1600 people.

Our event was very impactful Concious Heads Bootcamp Barbering School provided 65 free hair cuts to community members, University of Maryland School of Dentistry offered free dental service to 61 attendees, United Way of Central Maryland provided 41 community members with ID assistances, Maryland Public Defender offered over 40 community members expungement and London Disability was able to get 19 attendees to sign up for social security disability assistance and 1 person for medicaid.

So many thank yous to go around but it was truly God’s glory in the work. Special thank you to the Mayor of Baltimore, Catherine Pugh for presenting FLO with the Certificate of Recognition for our 3rd Annual Winter Coat Drive and Wellness Fair, Huge thanks to the Under Armour House and Living Classrooms for allowing FLO host this great event for the 2nd year in a row at their venue.

FLO’s Baltimore Homeless Festival

FLO’s Baltimore Homeless Festival at Excel Academy at Francis M. Wood High School on August 11, 2018 was awe inspiring and very impactful. We served over 1100 people.

A total of 103 people received free hair cuts both on the Baltimore Mobile Barber Lounge & Avara’s Academy Of Hair Design inside the school. University of Maryland School of Dentistry serviced 80 community members. Maryland Public Defender serviced 37 clients for expungement, Baltimore City Health Department serviced 93 clients for HIV screening.

Kick Dreams United, an organization that donates new shoes to individuals experiencing hardship gave out over 300 pairs of shoes. Shay Sharpe Sharpe Pink Wishes distributed 200 hygiene kits & underwear to the first 200 women that approached their table. In addition, over 1000 backpacks & school supplies was distributed out to Baltimore City Public School students that attended our event.

We received media coverage from WMAR-2 News Baltimore and WBAL-TV 11 Baltimore.

East and West Back to School Rally

Join FLO from May 25 – July 25, in collecting school supplies for students at Fort Worthington Elementary School & Collington Square Elementary School in East Baltimore and James McHenry Elementary school & Mary E. Rodman Elementary School in West Baltimore for the 2018 – 2019 school year.

Our goal is to bring ambition and academic success to these students for the 2018 – 2019 school year. FLO wishes that their school year will be filled with joy, enthusiasm, focus and encouragement.

FLO 2nd Annual Pre-Mother’s Day Brunch

FLO’s 2nd Annual Pre-Mother’s Day Brunch on May 5 at Mt.Vernon Place United Methodist Church was filled with so much happiness, emotions, laughter, celebration, encouragement, prayers, inspiration, hope, and gratitude.

So many thank yous to go around but it was truly God’s blessings to make the mothers and mother figures experiencing hardship in our community feel recognized, appreciated and loved. Special thank you to Pastor Laura of Mt. Vernon Place United Methodist Church for allowing FLO, to host this great event at her church.

Thank you to the Mayor’s Office, Director of Community Engagement, Alexandra Smith for being in attendance and showing her support for FLO’s work in the community.

Thank you to all of our sponsors, thank you to the shelters and recovery centers who partnered with us, thank you to all our service providers for being part of our event and the continuous work, they do for the residences of Baltimore, special thank you to our guest speakers, Determined, Empowered, and Motivated Women of Baltimore, Deborah Franklin, all the Baltimore City Police Chaplains that attended, Rev. Dr.Arnetha Bowens for closing out our event with a powerful message and prayer of hope to the women in our community and finally thank you to all our volunteers who made our event possible.
