2nd Annual Baltimore Homeless Festival

FLO’s 2nd Annual Homeless Festival / Back to School Drive in partnership with Councilman Leon Pinkett at the Former William Pinderhughes Elementary School on Saturday, August 17th, 2019 was astonishing and unforgettable! The presence of God’s love was undeniable felt. We reached out to over 2900 community members, comprising of 993 men; 957 women; 845 kids and 120 veterans. Our event was very impactful, Conscious Heads Bootcamp Barbering School provided 77 free haircuts to community members, University of Maryland School of Dentistry offered free dental service to 98 attendees and in addition distributed giveaway dental kits to community members who visited their booth. 828 free backpacks with school supplies was distributed out to students, Kick Dreams United distributed over 400 pairs of tennis shoes to community members, United Way of Central Maryland provided 85 community members with temporary IDs, London Disability was able to get 25 attendees to sign up for social security disability assistance, Organization of Hope’s Mobile shower, Hope on Wheels offered 38 showers and 58 community members utilized the mobile laundry. Maryland Food Bank distributed thousand pounds of fresh produce, snacks and can goods to community members and so much more.
