Community Events

FLO host four annual events: FLO’s Annual Day of Helping, FLO’s Annual Pre-Mother’s Day Brunch, FLO’s Annual Baltimore Homeless and Community Resource Festival, and the Annual Winter Coat Drive and Wellness Fair. At these events, FLO provides homeless individuals, families in need, and veterans living in shelters with hot meals, clothes, toiletries/supplies, haircuts, vital services such as blood pressure, HIV screenings, dental services, criminal expungement, ID assistance, housing, information, and access to other resources such as employment preparation and other opportunities. These services are an important step towards the road to success and self-sufficiency.

Meeting and exceeding a great need through the provision of items and support increases confidence and feelings of a semblance of stability and could increase desires to become prepared for gaining job skills and/or job-seeking. FLO is committed to instilling hope and proactive about providing resources and services that restore confidence in individuals and families experiencing hardships and/or homelessness and supports them on their path to self-sufficiency in Baltimore City.

FLO’s Annual Day of Helping, commemorates the anniversary of the passing of Florence “FLO” EbireMolen, who is the heartfelt inspiration to serve our community. This event excels in connecting the most vulnerable in Baltimore to vital resources at our one-stop shop event.

 

FLO distributes hot meals, clothes, supplies, and free giveaways to families and veterans living in shelters, those experiencing homelessness and/or those on brink of experiencing hardship in Baltimore.

 

In addition, FLO connects participants experiencing hardship to difficult-to-obtain services including medical, dental, vision care, employment assistance and other free services.

 

By mobilizing city and community agencies, as well as many of our volunteers, we are able to ensure that our participants receive holistic care in a dignified setting.

FLO’s Annual Pre-Mother’s Day Brunch, is an event to celebrate mothers or mother figures experiencing hardship in our community. This brunch excels in connecting vulnerable mothers or mother figures in our community to vital resources at our one-stop shop event. This event will allow special guest speakers to inspire, encourage, and instill hope in these women.

FLO offers free hot meals, clothes, supplies, and giveaways to the women attending this event.

In addition, FLO connects participants experiencing hardship to difficult-to-obtain services including medical, legal services, substance abuse, employment assistance, and other free services.

By mobilizing city and community agencies, as well as many of our volunteers, we are able to ensure that our participants receive holistic care in a dignified setting.

FLO’s Annual Baltimore Homeless Festival excels in connecting the most vulnerable in Baltimore to vital resources at our one-stop shop event. FLO connects participants experiencing hardship to difficult-to-obtain services including medical, dental, vision care, employment assistance, and so much more.

By mobilizing city and community agencies, as well as hundreds of volunteers, we are able to ensure that our participants receive holistic care in a dignified setting.

FLO’s Annual Winter Coat Drive/Wellness Fair excels in connecting the most vulnerable in Baltimore to vital resources at our one-stop shop event. FLO distributes winter coats and other winter garments to those in need. In addition, FLO connects participants experiencing hardship to difficult-to-obtain services including blood pressure screening, dental screening, HIV screening, and employment assistance.
